IMPORTANT INFORMATION |
|
|
|
|
(1) All officials are required to attend
on-ice session and classroom seminar conducted by USA Hockey in order to
complete registration requirements. Specific seminar details, including ice
times and location will be sent the week prior to the seminar. |
|
|
|
|
(2) Pre-Registration
is REQUIRED for all seminars. On-site registration
will not be accepted and you may not attend a seminar without
pre-registering. New officials must apply as Level 1 only. You may
attend ANY seminar BASED ON THE LEVEL you apply for. Only Levels indicated
above will be offered at the associated seminar location and date. |

|
(3) Seminar check-in will occur during the
first 30 minutes of each seminar. Any participant arriving more than 30
minutes after start times noted (ie. after the check-in time) will be
required to attend another seminar and will not be refunded registration
fees. All seminars will end at times noted. Participants are required to stay
for the entire seminar and are not allowed to leave early, so please plan
accordingly. NO EXCEPTIONS, NO REFUNDS. |

|
(4) For all on-ice sessions, full
officiating gear (including REFEREE SWEATER AND BLACK TROUSERS) is required
for all Level 2, 3 & 4 officials. A HELMET IS MANDATORY for all officials
and must be properly fitted and fastened with chin straps. New officials are
encouraged to bring a whistle to the seminar. |

|
(5) All Level 2, 3 and 4 officials will be
required to take a CLOSED BOOK exam at the seminar. |
|
|
|
|
(6) If you plan on attending the LEVEL 4
seminar, you MUST check the LEVEL 4 box on the USA Hockey application. |
|
|
|
|
(7) Please bring a bagged lunch. NO FOOD
will be provided and there is limited time to eat between classroom and
on-ice sessions. NO FOOD or DRINK is allowed in the classroom sessions. |
|
|
|
|
(8) PLEASE BRING NOTEPAD AND PEN AS YOU WILL
BE REQUIRED TO TAKE NOTES. |
|
|
|
|
(9) All participants are solely responsible
for their own transportation between the classroom facility and the arena
(ice-sessions). |
|
|
|
|
(10) All participants are expected to
conduct themselves in a professional manner. No pagers or cell phones are
allowed in the classroom. Participants are expected to return from breaks
on-time and per the instruction of the staff. Failure to abide by the instructions
of the staff are cause for dismissal from the seminar. Any participant
dismissed from a seminar will not be refunded and will be required to attend
another seminar in order to complete the registration requirements. |

IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that all LEVEL 1
officials who have not officiated at least 15 USA Hockey games, remain at
LEVEL 1 for this season. |
